Africa Current Event
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/02/05/tunisia.violence/index.html
This is the just another example of the recent protests in various countries around the world, specifically close by Egypt which has been protesting against their President for around two weeks. It seems as if these protests were also against their leader who evidently didn't do the greatest job of leading the country and providing for the people living there. This is another example of how political instability causes people to become restless and do whatever they can to bring about change to their country. People can only deal with poor circumstances that are directly related to the actions of their leader for so long. It's only a matter of time before they begin protesting, and that is exactly what happened in Tunisia. I don't think police handled it the right way though when they aimlessly fired into the crowd. Until that point I think they did the right thing, but they shouldn't have resorted to firing into the crowd to get them to stop protesting. I'm not saying I know what they should have done, but I do think there has to be some way that they could have handled it better. I think it will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Current Event
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41231668/ns/world_news-europe/
This is the latest suicide bombing attack, which apparently happens relatively frequently in and around Moscow. Suicide bombing is something that I can't quite comprehend fully. I guess I just can't understand why people are willing to kill themselves in order to kill a large group of people. Obviously I will never understand why they are willing to sacrifice themselves in order to cause destruction, but I will also never understand why they want to kill large groups of people. I just don't see what they are trying to accomplish by blowing up an airport and taking innocent lives along with the destruction of the airport. If their goal is to just cause destruction and take lives, then I think that this recent attack accomplished that goal, but I think that there has to be a different goal that is the main purpose of their attacks. However, we will never know what their goal or goals are. If their only goal is to cause destruction and take lives, I don't think I will ever be able to understand why they have this goal. It's good to see that the government is taking the right steps in order to stop these attacks by stepping up their security. I think that the improvements they are trying to take in order to be more secure will be affective after they get all of them implemented. I think the right steps are being made to make Moscow a safer place than it is now.
